E.C. Barton & Company is pleased to announce that the employee-owned organization has been recognized by Arkansas Business as a “Best Places to Work” recipient for the second year in a row.
The Best Places to Work in Arkansas survey and awards program recognizes employers that are creating outstanding workplaces. A project of Arkansas Business in partnership with Workforce Research Group, the program evaluates participating companies through an Employer Assessment and an Employee Feedback Survey. Employees provide confidential feedback on topics including job satisfaction, benefits, leadership, workplace culture and communication, professional development and work-life balance, with additional opportunities to share ideas and feedback.
E.C. Barton & Company will be recognized alongside fellow honorees at the Arkansas Best Places to Work awards ceremony on September 15, 2026 in Little Rock.

E.C. Barton & Company first participated in the Arkansas Best Places to Work program in 2025 as part of its 140th anniversary celebration. After earning the designation in its first year of participation, the company has now been recognized for a second consecutive year—continuing a legacy that began with a small grocery store in Jonesboro in 1885 and has grown into a 100% employee-owned organization serving communities across multiple states.
