E.C. Barton & Company Announces Alignment of Leadership Structure

Jonesboro, AR (May 15, 2023) — E.C. Barton and Company has announced changes in leadership structure, impacting four on the executive leadership team. Mark Biggers, President, states that Willis Tyler, Allen Devereux, Danial Reed, and Bryan Tucker will each experience a promotion of title as part of the alignment.

Biggers said, “This alignment of our leadership structure recognizes the hard work of each of these partners and their contributions to the success we have experienced the past several years. As a growing organization, the areas of marketing, finance, human resources, and technology continue to be a top priority and this change positions our company well for continued success as we grow and expand our footprint, both nationally and online.”

Willis Tyler, Secretary/Treasurer, has added the title Vice President of Finance; Allen Devereux, Director of Human Resources, is now Vice President of Human Resources, Danial Reed, Director of Marketing, is now Vice President of Marketing; and Bryan Tucker, Director of Information Technology, is now Vice President of Information Technology.

Each of the leaders are responsible for the oversight of their respective departments within the organization. The change will align the scope of their current duties with a commensurate title, as well as create alignment and unification across the executive leadership team, which also includes Mark Biggers, President; Travis Laurence, Vice President of Operations; Jeff Hart, Vice President of Operations; and Kevin Wooldridge, Vice President of Accounting.

Willis Tyler joined E.C. Barton & Company in August 2000 and has most recently served as Secretary/Treasurer since 2019.  He has been a member of the E.C. Barton & Company Board of Directors since 2019.

Biggers said, “As Chairman of Employee Stock Ownership Committee, a member of E.C. Barton & Company’s Board of Directors, and his continuing officer’s role of Secretary Treasurer, Willis has long been a key member of the E.C. Barton executive leadership. In addition to those responsibilities, Willis also has oversight over the credit services, treasury management, and the Company’s financial planning and analysis, all of which are increasingly important.  Willis’s commitment to the company and the partners of it, gives me great confidence in our future under his financial leadership.”

Allen Devereux was hired in January 2005 and has most recently served as Director of Human Resources since 2007. He was elected as a Board Member of the E.C. Barton and Company Board of Directors in 2019.

Mark Biggers stated, “Allen has successfully led our Human Resource department for many years, as well as serves on E.C. Barton & Company’s Board of Directors.  His oversight includes E.C. Barton & Company’s recruiting team, benefits administration, payroll department, training and development, as well as safety, and all other general human resources matters.  With over 800 employee partners across 19 states, Allen and his team have done a tremendous job navigating through unprecedented times while supporting our Company’s continued expansion and corresponding demand. Allen is certainly deserving of the role.”

Danial Reed was hired to E.C. Barton & Company in 2018 as Communications Manager and promoted to Director of Marketing in 2019.

“Danial leads a talented marketing team that has been incredibly instrumental in supporting our large retail footprint and more importantly bringing innovation to the marketing process of E.C. Barton & Company.  Managing the advertising and promotion of three retail brands in over 120 markets in an ever-changing marketing landscape is demanding. Danial and the team continue to excel at the task which has helped fuel growth. Our marketing department is in great hands, and we are very fortunate to have Danial as part of the leadership team,” stated Biggers.

Bryan Tucker started his career with E.C. Barton and Company in 2001. He has been responsible for the Information Technology Department since 2015.

“Bryan heads an IT team that is responsible for the maintenance of all the hardware and systems that comprise an expansive network across all our retail locations and corporate headquarters. Bryan and the team ensure we are always up and running efficiently to best serve our customers,” said Biggers. “Bryan has also been instrumental in the rapid scaling of the ecommerce website, which also falls under his management. I am so appreciative of all he does for the company and look forward to his continued leadership.”
